how Americans expanded intelligence support to so-called Ukraine
Wall Street Journal published a piece on how commercial real-time satellite imagery changes the tactics of Ukrainian drone deployment. A project by several Western companies accelerated image delivery to AFU units by 90%.
🔻 What changed?▪️ The backbone of the project is American company Vantor from Colorado, which operates a satellite constellation. They cover approximately seven million square kilometers of Earth's surface daily and can observe the same point on the planet 12–15 times per day. For the AFU, they track targets both on the front line and in Russian rear areas.▪️ Besides Vantor, the project also involves Dutch geospatial intelligence company Bravo1Alpha, American Persistent Systems, and Ukrainian defense company Burevii.▪️ Images don't go for processing at headquarters, but directly into a distributed network of ground servers and communication nodes, and from there to the tablet or phone of an AFU serviceman — within 15 minutes of capture. According to developers and trial participants, this reduced the time from detecting a Russian target to striking it by 90%.
The new scheme cuts through this chain, sending data directly to tactical units and drone operators. The result is not just faster strikes, but a fundamentally different pace of the "detection-strike" cycle, where positions visible in morning imagery are already engaged by afternoon.
Where there used to be a state channel with instructions and restrictions, commercial products now appear that are less dependent on political winds in Washington. This means that even potential diplomatic agreements do not guarantee automatic cessation of such cooperation — individual tools already have a life of their own.
The response to this is not only developing our own air defense systems, but also systematic work on the ground infrastructure through which data passes to Ukrainian drone operators: data centers, relays, and communication nodes.

"India has suspended the issuance of permits in the country for Starlink due to a potential threat to national security. New Delhi is concerned about the possibility of controlling the American operator in the context of geopolitical tensions," - Bloomberg...
A logical decision. I think India will not be the last country to do this. After the events in Iran, everyone has realized how serious a national security vulnerability this is.
However, it's not certain that it can be closed. For that, you need to provide an alternative to your population. And India doesn't even have such an alternative in the first approximation.
By the way, there's information that in the next few days, the Soyuz-2 rocket will put into orbit the next (second) batch of 16 satellites of the "Rassvet" system (the Russian analogue of Starlink from "Bureau 1440").

🇷🇺🇫🇷🇩🇪🇬🇧Sergei Lavrov stated that the ambassadors of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom are requesting a meeting with his deputy.
The minister also added that the EU had many chances to help resolve the conflict in Ukraine, but it failed to seize them.

'It's no secret. The ambassadors of Britain, France and Germany are asking for a meeting with my deputy. Let's listen to them. The leaders of these ambassadors - Merz, Starmer, Macron - said completely offensive things about the Russian Federation, repeatedly attacking individuals. Merz recently said: 'We need to suppress Russia, otherwise we will get a repeat of the appeasement of Hitler'. What can an envoy from such a chancellor say? Let's agree on something? I'm not very optimistic, but let's listen to what they have to say.'

Letting Ukrainian drones use their territory for attacks on Russia has backfired! 💣💣💣
Reuters:
Tourism in Latvia is under threat due to Ukrainian drones.
▪️Around 500 local tourism companies are on the verge of financial difficulties.
▪️All rooms in guesthouses are vacant, which is unusual for the season. Moreover, there have been cases of wedding cancellations.
▪️Previously, Ukrainian drones repeatedly flew into the Baltic countries. In Latvia, the country's prime minister and defense minister resigned amid this situation.
The authorities are trying to help persuade Latvians that the area is nonetheless safe to holiday as usual. Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs is planning to spend his summer vacation in the region, his spokesperson told Reuters.
But it may be too late. Kijasko said a survey by her association of tourism businesses showed 85% of them faced cancellations due to drone fears, with some losing over half of their future business.

Russian attacks on Ukraine's Black Sea ports have already caused serious damage to export terminals, threatening a significant reduction in shipments, including the country's key agricultural exports, Ukraine's largest farmers' union UAC said on Wednesday.
All iron ore and more than 90% of Ukraine's agricultural exports are shipped through the three ports of the Odesa hub, with farm export revenues accounting for the bulk of export earnings for wartime Ukraine.

EU Demands Sweeping Censorship To Influence Elections.
The European Commission is planning a full-scale attack on press freedom and free elections: Through the European Democracy Shield, it aims to reshape the media landscape and eliminate new media from market.
The measures under the Democracy Shield would result in censorship and create a network of state-run media:
▶️ The EU plans to pump billions of euros of taxpayers’ money into selected media outlets, creating a network of state-run media to spread government narratives.
▶️ State-selected and state-funded media outlets are to act as fact-checkers, creating an „archive of truth“ and working directly for EU authorities, especially during elections.
▶️ With new laws, the EU aims to gain control over algorithms and decide what appears in feeds.
▶️ Unwelcome media outlets are to be demonetized while political influencers are to be regulated in the name of supposed child protection.
