Traitor of Armenia Pashinyan on Nagorno-Karabakh:
I was speaking about the territories around Karabakh. And yes, nothing was built there.
What was built there in name only, de facto did not even exist. And whatever was built in Karabakh was at the expense of what was not built elsewhere.

Ukrainian banks are now refusing to accept bail money for the Zelenskyy's chief-of-staff Andriy Yermak, his lawyer Igor Fomin says.
'It has turned into a real show — people who try to post bail face public pressure, their names and photos are leaked, followed by financial monitoring. Banks are already declining these transactions.'
Sense Bank, the nationalized institution previously at the center of the Mindich tapes scandal, refused the payment. As MP Zheleznyak noted, there’s a karmic twist: Yermak and Mindich once tried to seize control of that very bank. If the bail isn’t paid by the end of today, Yermak will remain in pre-trial detention at least until Monday.

The White House said Xi agreed the Strait of Hormuz must stay demilitarized and that China opposes any “toll” by Iran. China’s own readout of the same meeting said something different. The Chinese Foreign Ministry’s official summary of the Trump-Xi summit made no mention of Iran. None. No mention of the Strait of Hormuz. None. China publicly said it “supports Iran in safeguarding its national sovereignty.” And Chinese ships are already moving through the Strait, under Iranian permits. A Chinese supertanker crossed Wednesday. Iran’s state media reports about 30 vessels have transited since. The Trump administration’s blockade redirected 70 ships in the same window. So which readout is real? Two governments. One meeting. Two completely different stories. The White House is telling Americans Xi is on our side. China is telling Iran the opposite. Both can’t be true. Who is Trump lying to — us, or himself?

The EU war against Russia must go on to the last Ukrainian.
Politico:
Ukraine will receive only €3.2 billion from the first tranche of the EU loan, while Brussels will purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the remaining funds €5.9 billion.
It is expected that the money will be available in mid-June.
However, before the payment, Ukraine and the EU will have to adopt a "memorandum of understanding" to define the loan conditions, and the Verkhovna Rada will have to ratify the loan agreement.
"Before that money can be paid out, a “memorandum of understanding” is required for setting terms tied to any macro financial assistance that’ll come from the €90 billion lifeline, which is backed by the EU budget."
It is reported that Kiev will be able to use €3.2 billion to cover budgetary and administrative expenses.
“The EU, its member states and European financial institutions have provided, so far, a total of €200.6 billion to Ukraine,” the Commission spokesperson said. “The EU is by far the largest and most stable financial partner of Ukraine.”

From Evo Morales former President of Bolivia:
The United States ordered the government of Rodrigo Paz to carry out a military operation, with the support of the DEA and the U.S. Southern Command, to capture or kill me.
Among the promoters of that action are the former Minister of Government under Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada—who fled to Miami after the Black October Massacre (2003)—Carlos “Zorro” Sánchez Berzaín; and the Vice Minister of Social Defense, Ernesto Justiniano, who is in Washington.
Beyond that, the government is waging an intense campaign of defamation, insults, and baseless accusations, with advice from foreign experts in dirty war and fake news, such as the Argentine Fernando Cerimedo, sent to Bolivia by the right-winger Javier Milei, whose dirty operations have already been exposed by honest Bolivian journalists.
They are in the Tropics:
Ninth Army Division: Commander Col. Franz Andrade Loza. The government promised to promote him to general and appoint him commander of the Armed Forces if he “takes out Evo.”
The F-10 unit under the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces (Gen. Víctor Hugo Balderrama), led by Lt. Col. Carlos Giménez Ortuño, former aide to Jeanine Añez's Minister of Defense, Fernando López.
The CITE (paratrooper military unit) commanded by Lt. Col. Santiestevan, who was imprisoned for the massacres of the Añez regime in Sacaba and Senkata.
The CIE 298 (Army Intelligence Company) whose members trained at Cotapachi to carry out the operation in the Tropics.
F-10 snipers from the Challapata Ranger Regiment.
From the Ingavi VII Sajama Battalion, dozens of soldiers were sent, including lieutenant colonels, captains, lieutenants, and non-commissioned officers.
The Bolivian military will be under the command of U.S. Marines and Paraguayan DEA agents, who have no qualms about massacring brothers and sisters living in the Tropics.

Two months after Trump announced that the US would provide insurance to ships seeking to transit the Strait of Hormuz, the programme has not provided a single dollar of cover.
The scheme never got off the ground, according to insurance brokers, as it did not fulfil all the requirements needed for ships transiting the strait and was tied to a US naval escort for vessels, which has not been established.
But the up to $40bn programme has not yet been used at all, two people familiar with its operations said, even as insurance rates have been stuck at multiples of their prewar levels.

Here is a very good analysis by John Konrad:
What if the White House has no intention of reopening the Strait of Hormuz?
What if this war is really about ships & tariffs?
And this:

While 🤡 Zelenskyy keeps warning all of Europe about Russia, it is Ukrainian drones that are increasingly becoming a real security problem.
Greece:
Athens told Kiev that after the detection of Ukrainian Cossack Mamai-type kamikaze drone in Lefkada, it should withdraw all drones that remain off the radar away from Greek coasts. In the diplomatic field, Athens has already sent a message in all directions that the risks posed to security and the environment in the seas surrounding Greece by Ukrainian drones cannot be ignored. At the bilateral level, however, Athens has already communicated with all the main allies, including the US which seems to have shown particular interest in this particular case. There is also a third scenario on the table, under which Greece will leverage its participation in the UN Security Council to take an initiative that will highlight the issue of navigation safety and the dangers of the uncontrolled use of USVs in populated and non-conflict areas.

‘There’s no ceasefire’: Sister of assassinated Hamas leader to The Grayzone
On May 16, a missile from an Israeli drone slammed into a Gaza City residential apartment building late in the evening, killing 7 people and wounding 50.
Among the dead is Izz al-Din al-Haddad, known as Abu Shuaib, the general commander of Hamas’ Al Qassam Brigades – effectively the leader of the resistance in Gaza
It is clearly aimed at weakening the resistance, while provoking it into open conflict as Israel bombards Southern Lebanon and edges once again toward war on Iran
Izz al-Din al-Haddad was considered a seminal figure in the advancement of Gaza’s armed resistance.
The Grayzone spoke to Haddad’s sister, Umm Saeed Al-Haddad, inside the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Mosque in central Gaza. She slammed international institutions for failing to apply even a modicum of pressure to force Israel to abide by the ceasefire.
