Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday received Lokmanya Tilak National Award in Pune, on the 103rd death anniversary of freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
Which was constituted by Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust in 1983, to honour the legacy of Lokmanya Tilak. The award is given to people who have worked for the progress and development of the nation and whose contribution can only be looked upon as remarkable and extraordinary and is presented every year on the 1st of August which is also Lokmanya Tilak's death anniversary. After the award is conferred, PM Modi Modi will become the 41st recipient of the award.

Golden Quadrilateral - It is a network of highways connecting Indiaโs 4 top metropolitan cities, namely Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai & Kolkata, thereby, forming a quadrilateral.
The largest highway project in India, Golden Quadrilateral project was launched in 2001 as part of National Highways Development Project (NHDP)
The overall length of the quadrilateral is 5846km consisting of four / 6 lane express highways. The project was estimated to cost Rs600bn but was completed half of the estimated costs at Rs308.58bn.
โ The North-South corridor - It is a 4,000 kilometers corridor that runs through NH 44 from Srinagar-Udhampur-JammuโJalandharโDelhiโAgraโGwaliorโJhansiโNarsinghpur-Lakhnadon-Nagpur-Hyderabad-Bengaluru-Salem-Madurai to Kanyakumari.
โ East-West Corridor - It includes 3,300 kilometers corridor via NH 27 from Porbandar-Rajkot-Samakhiali-Radhanpur-Kota-JhansiโKanpur-Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur-Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga-Supaul-Purnia-Kishanganj-Galgalia-Bijni-Guwahati-Nagaon-Dabaka to Silchar.
