WeTellStories is looking for an animator to help with an animated video for a nonprofit hoping to reach out to potential service users .

The video will cover their programme that aims to support care giving and improve the quality of life for single parents or lone caregivers.

They have a small budget and will be able to pay some renumeration 🙂

💥 New Project 💥

AWARE is SIngapore's leading gender equality organisation, providing services to the community through their Women's Care Centre and Sexual Assault Care Centre, and also through research and advocacy work and a range of workshops and programs catered to both community and corporate audiences.

They are looking for creatives to design a jigsw puzzle image of A2 size. This puzzle will be given as door gifts at their Ball in November. The Ball represents a significant revenue channel to fund their work and this gift will be given to all who have paid for tables and seats at the Ball.

The design has to be completed by mid-Sep to be sent for production and a $300 honorarium for accepted, finalised designs will be given.

Inspiring Girls Singapore is a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising the aspirations of girls aged 9-18 years old by connecting them to female role models. They want to introduce girls to the full variety of careers and options in life, help build their confidence and resilience, nurture and encourage their curiosity - and inspire them to dare to dream.

They are looking for volunteer illustrators and graphic designers to help create empowering content for girls, showcasing women role models from diverse career fields and backgrounds.

They are always looking for volunteers who are passionate about building an equitable future for girls. Your support will help them bring empowering content to young Singaporean girls, and inspire them to write their own stories!

Volunteer roles will be on an adhoc-basis with the aim of launching in October, but they are open to discussions around timelines and realistic deadlines.

HAImony is a youth-led community initiative that aims to promote humane positive reinforcement dog training with initiatives like a Dog Pawrents Telegram community
and Dog training livestream sessions.

They need help with:
- Analysis of current social media performance and following and existing content
- Identifying ways to repurpose existing content to benefit more dog owners
- Identifying channels for the repurposed content
- Search engine optimisation (SEO) to enhance reach

and are looking for someone who:
- Has experience and expertise in content creation, social media analytics and SEO
- Has passion for animal causes, and believes in the importance of empowering dog owners to train their dogs in humane ways
- Is able to commit to regular team meetings and adhere to deadlines

Bonus if you're a dog owner!

Playeum is an independent IPC charity founded in 2009. They close the opportunity divide by helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds and children with special needs develop confidence and 21st century life skills through play and the arts.

They are looking for 5 volunteer photographers for their upcoming Play festival happening at Common Ground Civic Centre Bedok where they will invite children from marginalised communities and their families to spend a day at the festival for free.

Photographers will need their own digital camera. Support in post-event photo editing will be required and very much appreciated. As tokens of appreciation, a token sum to support public transport costs, a letter of appreciation, and a certificate of participation will be given.

Time/Date: 9 and 10 December 2022, between 9am and 5pm. Volunteers may choose half-day or full- day shifts.

A small group of people built Recyclopedia.sg, a self-funded community web initiative that helps make it easier for people who want to be zero waste.

They need help with marketing - getting the word out, SEO, news coverage, etc. Also having new input on what would make their site more sticky! (Advising on design, functionality, and content)

The consultant would have a huge influence on reach with the knock on effect that it would be helping lots of people in Singapore who want to live more sustainably but don't know how.

This is ongoing but they hope to start ramping up on outreach as soon as possible, by the beginning of 2023. They are looking for someone to either join the team on a permanent pro-bono basis or to support on a shorter term low-bono arrangement.

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) strives to be an advocate and integrator for kidney health and holistic care for the community by the community.

They are looking for volunteers help to run and create content for the IG page for their upcoming entirely volunteer-helmed charity event, Kidney We Care: Let's Revolutionise! 2023, happening on 4/5 Mar 2023.

Execution can include design/illustration, video filming for social media platforms and acting in skits/sketches. They feel that volunteers bring value and generate fresh ideas that a charity is less able to see and think of.

There will be several internal deadlines leading towards the event, during the event and post-event. The event intensity will pick up from Jan to Mar 2023.

KampungKakis is a neighbourhood buddy system that supports isolated and frail seniors.

They need help to design their volunteer t-shirt design which will be given their loyal core team of volunteers who have been with them for over a year. Your design will be printed on the back of the t-shirt! Style-wise, they are hoping for something illustrative in a retro/trendy style.

Volunteer retention and cultivating a sense of belonging to their community and organisation is very important to them and they hope to use their branded merchandise to spread and build that bond with their volunteers.

Their volunteer appreciation event will be happening in the later half of Q1 2023. Tentative date is 18 Feb, but possibly moved back to first/ second weekend of March.

JC Starter Pack is a student-led ground-up that compiles A-Level resources and inside information into JC life, educational programs and university admissions. Their goal is to democratise information about educational opportunities and reduce educational inequality, to contribute to a Singapore where students from disadvantaged backgrounds have a fair shot at success.

They're looking for guidance to
a. Improve the user-friendliness of their website, especially their blog (e.g. Comb through the website to flag out any issues with user-friendliness / web design)

b. Improve the aesthetic appeal of their academic notes to make it easier on the eyes, and hold their student's attention as they study them. (e.g. Teach them how to design a good cover page on Google Document)

These will go a long way to making their resources much easier to access and digest for the disadvantaged students they reach out to.

Gladiolus Place is a non-profit residential home for teenage Girls aged 13-21. Licensed by MSF, their eventual mission is to restore those in their care back to their communities as restored individuals.

They are looking for help with:
- stitching short reels together from existing footage
- designing social media posts
- website edits on Wix

Briefing and brainstorming will be done together with volunteers before tasks are assigned.

Volunteers with creative skills will mean the world to Gladiolus Place as there is currently only one full timer is wearing all creative hats for the organisation, on top of other responsibilities.

They are able to endorse any school related approval if you are looking for endorsement for volunteering.

@friendsofmigrantworkers is a small ground-up initiative supporting migrant worker-related initiatives.

They are looking for a designer and copywriting volunteers to support Migrant Worker Photography Festival by working on content for marketing and partnership-related content. The event festival will be happening in Sept/Oct however, they need support before the event date itself to encourage submissions from migrant workers to submit their photographs for the festival.

They are a small team who really needs the support  - you will be working with a passionate group of folks who are building a platform for migrant workers to display their talent in photography and share their story to inspire others.

LOVE, NILS is a local IPC-registered charity which provides healthcare guidance, emotional care, and social and community support to children with cancer and their caregivers. Families navigating childhood cancer find themselves in an overwhelming situation, confronted by a staggering amount of medical information, isolated from other people and their community, and detached from their daily lives. LOVE, NILS serves as a beacon of hope and resilience for paediatric cancer patients and their caregivers in Singapore.  

As a charity with a very lean team and resources, they're looking for a designer who can support them with designing the collaterals for their annual gala fundraiser this September 23rd at the Shangri-La Singapore.

Chen Su Lan Methodist Children's Home (CSLMCH) is one of the biggest children's homes in Singapore that provides temporary shelter, care, and protection to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 21 who come from needy and disadvantaged families.

As they do not have an in-house designer to design social media posts, they're hoping that a volunteer with design skills would help them create visuals to be shared with the public that will attract more sponsors so their children will be able to get more meal sponsorships.
