I’m lwk getting bored of software ngl hardware is just more fun 99% of the time
I'll be leaving maculab.dev up; I don't plan to close it, but I'm not going to be very active on Telegram. If you need me, you can add my Discord or just text me here, and I'll respond when I can. My Discord is @clientmaxxing, same as my Telegram. I plan to stay active on the site, keep security updates, and post more source code. Please do share my site and get more people on it; it's just gotten a lot boring to me, and has been for a while. Kdot is quitting, 92 got banned, nobody is really active, and half of you are pedos and into some weird shit. You're all fake as shit. Most of what I do is for rep anyways. This will be my last text here for a while. Please do promote my site. Feel free to post anything you want, but I will monitor, so don't do crazy shit. Anyways, I'm done with the text; half of you won't read it anyways. Your brains are rotted.

maculab.dev has been updated i added a feature named hush its next to the explore tab the source code is posted with the desc as a repo but ill make a short one here Hush is a privacy-focused chat app that uses your Maculab account to connect with friends through direct, end-to-end encrypted conversations. Messages and chat history stay on your device, while your profile and picture are saved on the server.
Features include private messages, group rooms, personal saved notes, local message search, encrypted backups, and an easy to copy Hush ID. A separate chat passphrase protects your identity, and safety numbers help you verify who you’re talking to.
Hush uses no message relay. Both people must be online and exchange connection codes, and some networks may prevent direct connections.

Hush now connects people by @username and keeps conversations connected through an encrypted VPS relay. Chats reconnect automatically while the tab stays unlocked, and offline messages wait as ciphertext until the receiving devices reconnect.

Direct messages use a Double Ratchet with fresh sessions every four days. Private groups use MLS and support up to 10 people, with new keys when membership changes. Readable history stays encrypted on your devices. The relay deletes message ciphertext after all intended devices acknowledge it, with a seven-day expiry for undelivered messages.

This update adds independently approved devices, revocation, safety-number verification, passkey sign-in, encrypted file sharing, replies, reactions, edits, local search, @mentions, optional disappearing messages, and explicit encrypted history backups/transfers. Presence, typing indicators and read receipts are optional. Previous local history remains available in a read-only viewer.

The server now uses private PostgreSQL and Redis services plus S3-compatible encrypted attachment storage. Peer-to-peer transport, ICE and the previous age-based messaging are removed. Other participants do not receive your IP address; the hosting gateway can still see connection IPs and routing metadata. This release has not had an independent security audit. Group key changes currently depend on the creator device, as documented in the repository.
