🌟 ECB finally made its call — key rates unchanged

On 19 March, the ECB Governing Council kept all three key rates unchanged at 2.00%.

🌟 The conflict in the Middle East is the main driver — energy prices are pushing inflation higher while dragging growth lower. With no resolution in sight, the situation is pretty unstable.

New ECB staff projections:

🌟 Headline inflation 2.6% in 2026 (was 1.9%)

🌟 GDP growth just 0.9% in 2026 (was 1.1%)

🌟 For European investors, this is a squeeze: borrowing costs stay high, real returns erode, and the uncertainty premium is growing. A so-called "higher-for-longer" rate environment with shrinking real returns.

In this very environment, shorter-duration, yield-focused instruments with predictable cash flows start to look different.

🌟 How to use the Secondary Market on Maclear with maximum profit?

Many investors either skip the Secondary Market altogether or treat it as a last resort for desperate sellers. Both approaches miss the entire point.

🌟 The SM and the Primary Market serve different purposes.

🌟 Primary is where you earn: bonuses, cashback, referral rewards all live there.

🌟 Secondary is where you manage what you've already built.

Here's how to use it well:

1️⃣ Buy what’s already working

Loans on the SM come with repayment history you can review before committing. That's information primary market investors didn't have when they first funded the project.

Sellers can list at a discount of up to 50% of par value. For you as a buyer, that means a lower entry price on a project that's already proven itself.

2️⃣ Rebalance without waiting

You've got two or three shares in the same borrower and a new project just opened. You don't have to wait out the repayment timeline. List one position on the SM, exit the concentration, move the capital.

The listing runs 14 days. If it doesn't sell, it comes down automatically with no fee charged. The 2.5% seller fee only applies when the sale goes through.

3️⃣ Keep liquidity as an option

P2P lending locks capital for months. The SM doesn't fully solve that, but it changes the situation. If something comes up before maturity, you can list and exit. Speed depends on market activity, but you're not completely stuck.

One rule to remember: after buying a position on the SM, you can't relist it for 30 days.

🌟 Watch your loyalty level

SM purchases count toward your total portfolio volume, so buying can move you up a loyalty tier. Selling a large position can pull you below your current threshold. Before listing something significant, check where your level sits and whether the sale would affect it.
