Maclear’s journey to “Silicon Savannah” 🇰🇪

We decided to explore new investment opportunities and go beyond Europe — staight to the African region.

More specifically, we focused on Kenya, a leading tech hub in Africa. Among investors, it’s even called the “Silicon Savannah” as the country managed to attract over $1 billion in startup investments in 2023.

Recently, Aleksandr (Maclear's CFO) and Dimitri (Maclear's CPO) traveled to Kenya to assess the market, explore vegetable farms as a business opportunity, and conduct an interview with one of the farm owners.
