Your heritage matters. I am here because my ancestors settled the Midwest. My husband is a Mayflower descendant. My children will know their history, and they will be proud. Proud of their European heritage, of their ancestors forging the American landscape. Proud to be White.

For too long I was deracinated by a constant barrage of propaganda that said somehow my history did not matter and at the same time I should apologize. I was an easy target as an adoptee. No longer.

Find out where you come from, find out who you are. You might think it doesn’t matter, but regardless of what you believe - people who hate you believe it matters very much. Let the Europeans be proud, too. The age of deracination must end. It will. It starts with you.

I don’t want to assume the online right is ignorant, so to fill everyone in- the school this girl (the one who got her head smashed on concrete) goes to is in a horrible area. White folks with any sense got out of this area ten years ago- some of my family included. Teenage girls are impressionable- if you surround your daughter with this- this was inevitable. All of it. The fight, the boyfriend, all of it. To pretend this is a “White woman” issue is absurd.

One of the most eye-opening parts of getting involved with local school board elections is watching people suddenly be concerned about “partisan politics” on the board when Republicans decide to run for the board. All these years of Democrats & no problem, though.

A lot of local boards are going through upheaval right now and normal people think “it’s the Republicans fault, everything was calm!” Yeah, if you consider your third grader getting read g*y s*x books & White guilt literature as “calm” 💀

The Democrats have been so enmeshed in local institutions like school boards and library boards with zero opposition for so long, that it wasn’t apparent they were also partisan- because they’ve been able to do whatever they want.
