Embarrassing to see folks on my X timeline praising the “2A defends from KKK” ad. This has been said a million times, but if you’re still saying things like “the Democrats are the REAL racists” you’re playing by leftists language and rules already.

Not only does the ad highlight how a large swath of the GOP STILL doesn’t understand strategy, but it’s also tone deaf in a country that allows black people to burn down cities over BLM and has journalists on TV talking about “White rural rage” being the biggest threat.

What’s more telling is there’s a black dude under one of the Klan hoods. Even the performative aspect acknowledges “oh we better put a black guy under one of them so the main voter base buys it.”

It’s almost as if there was a large, wildly successful effort to ensure that most conservatives and Christians have zero in-group preference - even in the face of obvious and existential threats. It’s interesting and terrifying, isn’t it?

The dark truth of the “you have to go back” comments is that everyone else has a place to go back to, and they’re doing their best to ensure that you do not. Remember that.

Theory: X (Twitter) is now a containment area. Just enough mask off posting is allowed to make people think radicalization is happening from their posts, free speech touted though many of us are throttled, & it encourages posting by promising ad money that is selectively paid out.

I’m not saying there are no leftoids, that would be absurd - but most “viral” left leaning posts I see are botted to hell and back. “Viral” post with tons of likes, responses all barely likely in comparison or people disagreeing.

We all have noticed the huge uptick in bots. Business model: tout free speech, rate/reach limit instead of outright ban, allow subversive meme accounts to go viral with “based RW takes”, effectively contain RWs from ever doing anything in the real world.

Be careful out there. Don’t forget to touch grass.
