KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 — Microsoft today pledged a US$2.2 billion (RM10.5 billion) investment in artificial intelligence and cloud computing in Malaysia to help develop the country’s AI infrastructure.

The tech giant’s chief executive Satya Nadella is on a three-nation tour of South-east Asia — Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia — to announce a range of investments in data centres, AI and cloud services.

“Today, Microsoft announced it will invest US$2.2 billion over the next four years to support Malaysia’s digital transformation — the single largest investment in its 32-year history in the country,” it said in a statement released as CEO Satya Nadella gave a keynote speech in Kuala Lumpur.

It said the cash would help to build AI and cloud infrastructure in Malaysia, creating an AI centre of excellence and giving AI training to as many as 200,000 Malaysians.

“We are committed to supporting Malaysia’s AI transformation and ensure it benefits all Malaysians,” Nadella said in the statement.

FASA KENAIKAN BULL MARKET

1. Pergerakan gelombang pertama, banyak leader yang akan bergerak dulu.

Leader ni mostly company yang market cap paling besar dalam sektor.

2. Kemudian 2nd liner, mostly company yang make profit tetapi market cap kecil banding leader.

This one selalu kenaikan agak impulsive sebab retailers pun dah makin ramai. Dalam masa sama, harga 'mampu milik'.

Satu benda aku perasan, kenaikan 2nd liner ni cepat pancit 😆

3. This one paling bahaya, kaunter yang tak make profit dan juga kaunter spekulasi (penny, kaunter MOU dan sebagainya).

Mostly kenakan kaunter macam ni pump and dump.

3rd liner mostly kita panggil sebagai 'institutional imperative' companies.

Contoh:

1. Poultry: QL dah lama naik uptrend, kemudian followed by CCK. Kemudian Layhong baru saja breakout.

2. Construction & technology - Leader dah gerak. Potensi second liner coming soon...
