Meet Dima.

He’s 14, full of energy, always online, and into games, 3D, music, creators, memes, and internet culture. Talking to him feels fast, easy, and real. No textbook vibe — just a conversation that flows.

Drop a 🔥 if you’d chat with Dima.
And in the comments: what would you ask him first?

Представьте: в поездке вы познакомились с новым человеком, обменялись соцсетями, а потом увидели его фотку в ленте. Вы хотите оставить теплый комментарий на английском — не слишком просто, не "awkward", а реально естественно.

Before:
Happy birthday!
I wish you all the best.
I am very happy to meet you.
I hope we meet again one day.

After Dima:
Happy birthday! 🎉
So glad we met on our trip — it was awesome getting to know you. Hope we get to hang out again soon! Wishing you an amazing year ahead!

Первый вариант — понятный, но немного "textbook vibe".
Версия Димы — уже как у реального человека в соцсетях.

What would you ask Dima to rewrite for you?

Have you ever wondered where the universe came from? What consciousness actually is? Did aliens invent ChatGPT? And is Elon Musk a hologram? The last one — probably not. But someone should be able to talk about the first three.

Meet Artem — an AI conversation partner who lives in these topics. Well-read, calm, explains complex things without turning it into a lecture.

⚡️Why is Tesla called Tesla?
Nikola Tesla invented alternating current (переменный ток) — the technology behind every power outlet in the world. Elon Musk named his company after him as a tribute. The irony: Tesla lost the "War of Currents" (война токов) against Edison and died in debt. The company that carries his name is now worth more than most carmakers combined. History is a strange thing.

Who would you rather talk to — energetic Dima or thoughtful Artem? Both are coming soon.

Why learn English if there are AI translators?

Fair question. Honest answer: AI tools are useful. We use AI ourselves — m8Chat runs on it too.

But here’s what AI tools don’t do: they don’t build the habit of thinking in English. They just give you answers.

In 2025, the British Council surveyed 1,348 English teachers from 118 countries. It was one of the largest studies on AI and language learning so far. Key finding: 60% disagreed that AI and translation tools will make language learning unnecessary in the future.

Many teachers said the same thing in different ways: language is more than translation — it carries culture, feelings, and human connection. Another important number: 70% believe students should be able to write in English without AI help.

Why does that matter? Because AI assistants solve a task once. Learning English builds a skill you keep forever. You get the right words — but you don’t practice finding them yourself in your own head.

Think of it like GPS. GPS works great. But if it goes down, you’re lost. The person who learned to read a map is fine. They can still find their way.

That’s what we train in m8Chat: your ability to find the words yourself. Not “Here’s the translation”, but “How would you say this?”

💬 Russian translation in the comments.

Meet Mia.

She notices tone, texture, mood, and all the things people usually skip. Mia is drawn to esoterics and psychology—she sees the hidden layers beneath the surface, where a pause holds meaning like negative space in ink wash, and a symbol whispers seasonal truths from old forests. Talking to Mia feels warmer and more expressive. She’s a good fit if you like films, music, art, emotional depth that feels composed like a haiku, and conversations that linger like shared silence or a story half-remembered.

Drop a ❤️ if Mia sounds like your character.

Here’s a more uncomfortable question:

If AI helps you write, are you still learning — or just finishing the task faster?

In 2025, MIT researchers ran an experiment where people wrote essays in three different ways: with ChatGPT, with Google Search, or with no tools at all. They tracked brain activity across several sessions. The point of the study was not that “AI is bad” or that you should “never use ChatGPT.” It was something more unsettling: when the tool did more of the thinking, people seemed to do less of it themselves.

The ChatGPT group showed the lowest mental engagement. They also had a weaker sense of ownership over what they wrote, and more trouble quoting their own text later. In simple terms: the task gets done — but less of it becomes your skill.

That matters for language learning. Because learning English is not just about producing a correct sentence. It’s building the ability to think, respond, and express yourself without handing the whole process over to a tool.

If you’re learning a language, you need exactly the part of the work that AI removes.

To formulate.
To try.
To make mistakes.
To try again.

The hard part is not a bug. It’s the training. AI can help. But if it steps in too early every time, it may save effort while quietly replacing practice.

That’s why the goal isn’t: “Let AI do it for me.” The better goal is: “Let AI support the process — but not replace my thinking.”

That’s how we see m8Chat too. Not as a machine that speaks instead of you — but as a space where you still learn to express your own thoughts in English.

Why people stay silent

Most people stay silent not because their English is too weak, but because speaking feels risky.

That may be one place where AI actually helps.

Research suggests that AI speaking tools can improve speaking performance and reduce speaking anxiety by giving learners a more supportive, low-pressure space to practice. At the same time, the studies also suggest that relying on AI too much can make learners less independent.

So the best use of AI in language learning is probably not to speak for you. It’s to make it easier for you to start speaking yourself.

That’s how we think about m8Chat. You can start with voice or text — whatever feels easier. The characters won’t judge you. Their job is to guide you, support you, and help the conversation move naturally.

Test access is on the way. Stay with us — you’ll be able to try it yourself soon.
