So far, despite billions of dollars of investment, the take-off to the Metaverse has been very bumpy. We may never get there but, if we do, the political split of the future might not be left–right or libertarian–authoritarian, but reality–fantasy.
This is the essence of horse whisperer Monty Roberts’ book Horse Sense for People.11 Wild horses aren’t tamed through brute force. If you chase them, they will run away, but if you trace your steps back, the horse will stop and then, unthreatened and curious, begin to follow at a distance. If you feel like your freedom is under threat, you might get spooked. Understand that if a grassroots organisation’s communications, social media and video production seem too good to be true, they might be. Be sceptical, ask questions, and don’t be afraid of the term ‘conspiracy theorist’.
