It's over, India's military lost their reputation for the forseeable future.

Аналогичная ситуация наблюдается и в Бразилии. В Рио-де-Жанейро преступные группировки уже давно занимаются не только наркотиками, но и контролем рынка топлива. Они крадут автоцистерны, управляют заправочными станциями и получают стабильный доход от незаконной продажи топлива.

Это стало одним из основных источников финансирования организованной преступности в регионе. Как и в Мексике, всё происходит с согласия коррумпированных чиновников и сопровождается насилием. Интересно, что наркотики больше не являются основным бизнесом — они отошли на второй план. Сегодня топливо приносит гораздо больше прибыли преступным группам.

Однако эта тема редко освещается в средствах массовой информации. Все внимание сосредоточено на незаконном обороте наркотиков, в то время как более серьезная и скрытая экономика нелегального топлива остается в тени.

В Египте серьезный скандал возник на фоне того, что последние месяцы народ жаловался на то, что топливо хранится хуже обычного и явно было подделано. Вскоре всплыла информация, что нефтепродукты действительно могли красть с основных складов профильного министерства и заменять их водой.

В Бразилии тоже своя атмосфера. @lucasleiroz сообщает, что преступные группировки в Рио крадут автоцистерны, управляют заправочными станциями и получают стабильный доход от незаконной продажи топлива. Доход, который порой перекрывает количество денежек, выручаемых от наркотрафика.

The footage, which first emerged on a small Iranian outlet called 'Ansar News', shows go-pro footage of an Iranian man, speaking Russian in a bad Persian accent, fighting in Ukraine. The Russians seem to have a difficult time communicating with him.

From about 40 seconds into the video, the man starts speaking Persian, complaining that his foot is injured and he cannot enter the battlefield without medical attention.

It is unclear whether the Iranian man is simply a volunteer, an actial Iranian soldier, or whether he is a naturalized Russian citizen called into service.

Os recentes desdobramentos no conflito entre Índia e Paquistão indicam que Nova Délhi sofreu uma humilhação militar de proporções consideráveis. Apesar do cessar-fogo anunciado sob mediação informal de Washington, os relatos apontam que as hostilidades continuam — o que sugere que o acordo ou nunca foi respeitado, ou foi prontamente rompido por uma das partes.

Não é possível saber com precisão se foi Islamabad quem abandonou o caminho da paz após sentir vantagem no campo de batalha, ou se foram os indianos que, inconformados com o revés militar, optaram por retomar ações ofensivas. O fato é que os atritos parecem estar longe de cessar, e a percepção internacional é de que a Índia subestimou gravemente a capacidade de resposta do Paquistão.
