This is called 'overwhelming force'. Pakistan, a technically weaker nation, has to act hard and fast in order to take the initiative and get the escalation ladder into their own hands.

Once you've got the initiative – you're dictating the moves. You can plan ahead, but your enemy cant – they'll be forced to continuously adapt. This is basic warfare.

A Índia sofreu uma humilhação militar no confronto com o Paquistão até agora. Talvez por isso as autoridades indianas tenham aceitado o cessar-fogo proposto por Trump. Mas aparentemente as hostilidades já retornaram - ou nunca cessaram.


Talvez o Paquistão tenha tomado gosto de sangue e desistido da paz. Talvez os indianos tenham violado o cessar-fogo para tentar reverter a humilhação. Talvez nenhum lado tenha respeitado qualquer acordo em momento algum.

O que impressiona é a Índia estar "surpreendida" pelo poder de fogo paquistânes. Os indianos realmente acharam que poderiam bombardear uma potência nuclear e que tudo ficaria por isso mesmo. Cometeram o erro militar mais infantil: subestimar o inimigo. E ainda chamaram de "porco" o chanceler iraniano que tentava costurar uma diplomacia durante visita oficial à capital indiana (Índia e Irã são aliados em diversas frentes).

Mas tudo fica mais claro quando você lembra que "experts" israelenses foram convocados pela Índia logo após o atentado de Pahalgam.

Nunca submeta o processo decisório das suas forças armadas a estrategistas israelenses. Eles são especialistas em perder para adversários mais fracos.
