Two new transaction types have recently been voted for on mainnet with over 90% miner support, making it a 2nd ever network upgrade. Those are associations [feature 10] and sponsored accounts [feature 11]. While associations have been described in the tech paper and have been on the roadmap, sponsored accounts have been born out of necessity.

NEN 🌎 Webinar Update

Some exciting updates from the collaborating parties! The solution will be rolled out right away, starting with the healthcare industry. That includes anchoring on LTO blockchain. Next stop is Live Certificates for continuous compliance checks. Here is some more context:

Scantrust smart QR-code is put on physical certificate before it gets sent to a company. Next to the Scantrust QR-code for the certificate, a digital QR code will be provided which will always point to the latest status of the official certificate. You can report certificates directly to NEN, so they can follow up on it. This gives the power to help NEN keep certificates u-to-date and ensure that companies play "honest". System is done and operating. Currently for NEN 7510 and HKZ-norm Zorg&Welzijn. Think ISO Standards worldwide.

We are working on the English recap of the update to release in the coming days.

This is just the 1st cool milestones for the coming summer, as we see blockchain interest surge. Expecting a dedicated node on mainnet, growing into thousands of daily transactions 🥳

​​LTO currently has over $140,000 USD annualized staking revenue! There is no inflation by the protocol, 100% of the revenue is coming from fees paid by users.

LTO Network is currently working on a new token economics proposal. That would require a Mainnet upgrade. More details will be announced in June!

Governance improvement 🔥 burning 50M LTO from the foundation, 11% of total supply

In preparation for the upcoming token economics upgrade proposal, we are also fixing the token distribution. The trend we have observed over the past 2 years of teams and foundations controlling too much of the supply is not healthy. Especially when it concerns Proof of Stake networks, where correct token distribution is vital for PoS networks' security. We want to improve that.

This means that the total supply has forever been reduced to below 404M LTO 👀 In fact, with the upcoming token economics upgrade, the asset might actually become deflationary.

Read a few words about governance, Binance supporting LTO mainnet, and why this has been done. By the way, there is no requirement to swap, all three chains will be supported.
