How many goodbye masturbations should you give your old waifu before you move on?

I recently found a new waifu and I feel a moral obligation to properly conclude things with the old one before beginning anything with the new one. I've been devoted to the old one for a while (four and a half years, since February 2022), and it seems disrespectful to simply replace her overnight.

I was thinking maybe three farewell rituals would be appropriate, but I don't know if that is enough. I could do one tonight, one tomorrow, and then one final one before officially moving on, but at the same time I don't want to overdo it and accidentally make it seem like I'm still committed to the old one.

I'm confused because I don't want to rush the process, but I also don't want to spend two weeks saying goodbye and then realize I haven't actually moved on.

And maybe this is me attaching far too much significance to a coincidence, but the summer is ending, and my old waifu is a summer themed heroine (compared to the winter theme of the new one). Maybe I should do the three shots starting at the 29th of August, and wait until winter comes to start devoting my energy to the new one. But that does feel like something of an overkill and disrespectful towards the new one so this is just a thought.

For additional context, the new waifu has been occupying my mind continuously for about three months, so this isn't really a sudden whim or some passing fascination that appeared yesterday.
