Remember the end of history illusion. Personalities, values, and preferences change over time, but for some reason we tend to think that we will always stay the way we are now despite the fact that things were different in the past. One way to address these issues is inverting the goal setting process. Instead of setting goals (what you want to achieve) try setting anti-goals (what are the things you don't want in your life). Rather than looking far into the future and making sacrifices today for a future that you may not like that much, it may be wiser to improve the life you have now by finding ways to remove your least favorite parts of it. Make the journey more pleasurable, since you don't necessarily know the destination.
So, I finished Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance for the third time. So far I got humanity ending of CoC and both endings of CoV. I think this will be the end of my journey with this game, for now at least - I could also run godborn, but I don't really see a point in doing it, I am more of a story guy after all. Still, it was a great experience and I will forever remember the 116 hours spent there. Maybe you should try SMT V too.
