I am gonna read more Palahniuk cause I feel like a character from one of his novels recently
I read a fragment of Haunted when I was in middle school.
There was this freaky punk girl who was three or four years older than me, a true delinquent, she attended the same art school as me (tho her attendance was terrible). She was constantly making dirty jokes, she had absurdly huge tunnels (I remember how she was expanding these holes in her ears by sticking pencils and brushes in them), and fresh scars on both of her wrists. Obviously I admired her.
Thanks to her I read about a guy who got stuck at the bottom of a pool while routinely getting pleasure from getting his ass sucked by a water pump. And I remember her sending me articles about autofellatio. During the final year of my course she dropped out and I haven't heard from her ever since, I believe she killed herself.
I had some really weird acquaintances if you think about it.
