How a mother of an 8-year old girl in Kolkata got INR 50K remote job with a UK startup
Munmun Kundu lives in Kolkata with her family and has 12 years’ experience working in a business development role, but lost her job in July 2022 as her employer wrapped up India operations.
She could work at the global back office in Chennai, but it was not possible for her to shift as she had her husband and daughter in Kolkata.
She searched for 1 year, and obtained two opportunities in Kolkata, but they were paying very little in comparison to her previous job, and demanded a 6-day commitment to work from the office.
She was losing her confidence.
After all, many women like her are compelled to sacrifice their careers to raise a family.
Munmun tried to pursue some additional courses but did not get any opportunities as training programs in the market are theoretical and do not offer placement assistance.
Unfortunately, knowledge alone does not help in securing opportunities - one has to learn skills, then develop a track record and build outreach.

Lessons from 3 year old kid’s mother who earned USD 1000 from remote work in under 4 months working 2-3 hrs/day

The good news is that in 2023 the AI revolution has made it much easier for us to pick up and learn high-demand skill sets, pitch more effectively and deliver superior quality work, without having decades of functional expertise in one area.
Of course, it still takes effort on our side - AI cannot divine and intuitively understand what we expect it to do.
But the results are incredible once we put in the effort.
