🇬🇧🇺🇦 The British Ministry of Defense has announced that it is providing Ukraine with its largest military aid package ever, worth £500 million (over $626 million).

A brief statement says the package includes more than 1,600 missiles, more than 400 pieces of equipment, including 160 Husky armored vehicles, and more than 4 million rounds of ammunition.

▪️This package was previously announced by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. At the time, it was announced that it also included 60 boats (raid and diving boats), naval guns, air defense missiles and long-range Storm Shadow missiles, 162 armored vehicles and 78 all-terrain vehicles, and 4 million rounds of ammunition for small arms.

🇩🇪German MPs propose that NATO countries shoot down drones over Ukraine

Members of the German parliament from the ruling Greens and Free Democrats, as well as the opposition CDU, are in favor of NATO air defense systems protecting the western part of Ukraine.

According to Agnieszka Brugger, a representative of the Greens, it would be right to “deploy air defense systems on the borders of neighboring states so that they can protect the western part of Ukraine.”

In turn, her fellow party member Anton Hofreiter noted that Ukraine's air defense “should not be excluded from the territory of Poland and Romania in the long term.”
