Yesterday, the AASTU Arch Club had the pleasure of hosting a crucial lecture for our 2nd-year AASTU Architecture students, diving deep into these essential building blocks.

On our recent visit to Zigzag Space, Architect Alebel Desta gifted us two books intended to spark academic dialogue, support interdisciplinary research, and inspire future generations of students, designers, and scholars at AASTU. When we asked for copies for our club, he set a thoughtful challenge: we would receive the club’s copies after donating a copy to the AASTU Library and documenting the donation with photos. We truly appreciated how engaged and generous Architect Alebel was throughout the process.

The photos above show us presenting the book to AASTU Library Head, Dr. Zeleke Abebaw, and the moment we received our club copies afterwards. The experience was rewarding and educational — it helped us connect with and learn from the great Architect Alebel Desta. Presenting a book to our university through the club was a genuine honor and a memorable moment for all of us.
