AASTU Arch Club visited Zigzag Space at Bisrate Gabriel (International Tennis Club building), a multidisciplinary studio founded by Alebel Desta Consulting Architects & Engineers. We were privileged to be guided personally by architect Alebel Desta, who toured us through every corner of the space, held oneโtoโone discussions, answered our questions, and shared valuable professional and life experiences. We learned and gained practical insights into multidisciplinary design, modelโmaking techniques, project workflow, and professional practice plus fresh inspiration and tangible advice to apply in our own projects. The visit deepened our understanding of collaborative studio work and motivated us to push our design thinking further. Huge thanks to Alebel Desta and the Zigzag team a mustโvisit for every architecture student and practitioner.

The AASTU Arch Club recently organized a two-day orientation program for freshman students at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University.
Our team was honored to represent the Department of Architecture and introduce new students to the world of design. We shared how diverse, creative, and impactful this field can be and hopefully inspired a few future architects along the way.
Overall, it was a rewarding experience and a great reminder of why we love what we do.
