🇺🇸 US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has denied information about "text messages with military plans" in a chat room that included The Atlantic's editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg. This is reported by CNN.
This is how he responded to a question about The Atlantic article that said he and other senior administration officials "sent detailed operational plans for U.S. military strikes on Yemen in a group chat on a messaging app that a reporter accidentally fell into."
"No one was sending messages with war plans, and that's all I can say about that," Hegseth said. Jeffrey Goldberg, the Pentagon chief called the Pentagon chief a "lying and extremely discredited so-called journalist."

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff a portrait of President Trump to deliver to the U.S. president as a gift, the Kremlin confirmed on Monday.
Putin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Putin gave the painting to Witkoff when he was in Moscow earlier this month, when asked by a journalist about reports of the painting.
