To be taken with a pinch of salt cause it can read like 48 Laws of Power(well, it fathered it).

The Art of Worldly Wisdom, by Balthasar Gracian
He said this 400 years ago. Lord help us!
Thy Godlike crime was to be kind,
To render with thy precepts less
The sum of human wretchedness,
And strengthen Man with his own mind;
But baffled as thou wert from high,
Still in thy patient energy,
In the endurance, and repulse
Of thine impenetrable Spirit,
Which Earth and Heaven could not convulse,
A mighty lesson we inherit:
Thou art a symbol and a sign
To Mortals of their fate and force;
Like thee, Man is in part divine,
A troubled stream from a pure source;
-Prometheus, Lord Byron

"Sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it."
Nah. I like my spare tire. It did nothing but comfort me.

Hey, guys.
Just leaving this to myself(and you) as a reminder and because I need accountability partners.
The illiteracy rate in our country is unbelievable! We should do something about it! We should mobilize!
I'll return to this topic, meanwhile think about it and so shall I.

Little by little, day by day, the sun will melt the winter away.-Moddi
Little by little is all it takes.
Little by little, day by day, a ripple may grow into a wave.
Little by little is all it takes.

Parwana was a surprise.
Masooma was already out, wriggling quietly in the midwife’s arms, when their mother cried out and the crown of another head parted her a second time.
Masooma’s arrival was uneventful. She delivered herself, the angel, the midwife would say later. Parwana’s birth was prolonged, agonizing for the mother, treacherous for the baby. The midwife had to free her from the cord that had wrapped itself around Parwana’s neck, as if in a murderous fit of separation anxiety. In her worst moments, when she cannot help being
swallowed up by a torrent of self-loathing, Parwana thinks that perhaps the cord knew best. Maybe it knew which was the better half.
-And the Mountains Echoed, Khaled Hosseini
But the poor dog, in life the firmest friend,
The first to welcome, foremost to defend,
Whose honest heart is still his master's own,
Who labors, fights, lives, breathes for him alone,
Unhonored falls, unnoticed all his worth,
Denied in heaven the soul he held on earth -
While man, vain insect! hopes to be forgiven,
And claims himself a sole exclusive heaven.
Oh man! thou feeble tenant of an hour,
Debased by slavery, or corrupt by power -
Who knows thee well must quit thee with disgust,
Degraded mass of animated dust!
Thy love is lust, thy friendship all a cheat,
Thy smiles hypocrisy, thy words deceit!
By nature vile, ennoble but by name,
Each kindred brute might bid thee blush for shame.
Ye, who perchance behold this simple urn,
Pass on - it honors none you wish to mourn.
To mark a friend's remains these stones arise;
I never knew but one - and here he lies.
-Byron

That's one of Vishnu's avatars, Narasimha, redecorating his problem.
The victim, Hiranyakashipu, was once a victimizing "demon-king" and deserved the nice treatment but he couldn't be killed "by man or beast, indoors or outdoors, during day or night, on earth or in the sky, and not by any weapon". He's like a super bacteria.
Well, tell that to Narasimha who is neither entirely man nor beast. He placed him in his lap, neither on the earth or in the sky. On the threshold(not indoors or exactly outdoors). And clawed him good with his bare hands.
We also gotta find unconventional ways to kill our demons.
Don't be confined to certain ways of being but tread the thin line between black and white, find the loop hole to every spell.
Place your problems too close to home and affectations will cloud your judgement. Too far, then you'll be impotent and in denial. Find the threshold.
Now, don't hesitate to get down and dirty. Lay it on your lap and get busy.

Words are flowing out
Like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither wildly as
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy
Are drifting through my opened mind
Possessing and caressing me
Jai Guru Deva, Om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Images of broken light
Which dance before me like a million eyes
They call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box
They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe
Sounds of laughter, shades of life
Are ringing through my opened ears
Inciting and inviting me
Limitless, undying love
Which shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on across the universe
-John Lennon
