Folks, since social media is stealing so much of my time and energy, I'm not gonna be active on here this month and I'll only be posting book reviews or if there is something I have to get off my shoulders. I'm also deleting YouTube so wish me luck!π Toβ¦
Brothers and sisters, the withdrawal symptoms are unreal!
I find myself scrolling through my app icons looking for that red demon! I feel irritable and on the edge. And I'm tempted to replace it with other social media apps like this one right here.
I never thought I was this addicted. I'm craving YouTube contents like food, right now. These are end times, I'm telling ya! And they call for end-time measures!π΅πΏ
Looks like I'm in the right state of mind to finish reading Requiem for a Dream.

Way too many Telegram accounts are being hacked and used to spam people with adult content.π So if you see people you know sending that kind of stuff on groups, suspend your judgement. It's probably not them.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is watch this film. Take my word for it.
Oh, and use this site to pirate it... or other films.π

Until I learn video editing, you're gonna have to make do with this.
Also, it's considered a Christmas film and you can see it's inunfluenced by A Christmas Caroll. Another favorite of mine.
I have so much to say but don't wanna spoil it for those who haven't seen it.

3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
Isaiah 35

"Take some more tea," the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
"I've had nothing yet," Alice replied in an offended tone, "so I can't take more."
"You mean you can't take less," said the Hatter; "it's very easy to take more than nothing."
- Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll

"I'm glad they've begun asking riddlesβI believe I can guess that," she added aloud.
"Do you mean that you think you can find out the answer to it?" said the March Hare.
"Exactly so," said Alice.
"Then you should say what you mean," the March Hare went on.
"I do," Alice hastily replied; "at leastβat least I mean what I sayβthat's the same thing, you know."
"You might just as well say," added the Dormouse, which seemed to be talking in its sleep, "that 'I breathe when I sleep' is the same thing as 'I sleep when I breathe!'"
Fun way to teach p β q and q β p are different things.

Caved in today and enabled YouTube because I need to procrastinate on starting a major assignment due Friday. Missed that devil!

I remember having dreams. Lots of them rendered unattainable the minute I came down from my high. The minute Iβm made to see how tedious it is in actuality, how much innocence it requires to see the faintest and most unpolished version of those dreams realized.
NaΓ―ve child turned sad teenager and disillusioned young adult. Prone to apathy and disappointment. However, I have moments of euphoria as well. Rare occasions of detachment when I am able to pull myself out of the depths of consciousness. Minutes of complete bliss, untainted by shame or constant guilt.
Glances behind your shoulders⦠those are the worst kind of emotional torments. Haunting oneself with memories of sin that one can never take back.
Sometimes, I justify my wrongs. A life-saving cowardice. At my best, I confess, purging myself. An upward humiliation. When I lose the plot, I indulge in penitent self-destruction. Chasing away anyone who shows a bit of kindness to me; after all, itβs undeserved.
I am a riddle. Even to myself.
