An online profile on LinkedIn is your CV in the world of ATTRACTING opportunities INTERNATIONALLY.
No one has time to sieve through CVs first.
No, they know everybody is now doing 2k CVs everywhere to look good even when they do not have half of the skills they claim they have on their CV.
Besides, I am all for ATTRACTING global opportunities not APPLICATION.
The operational word here is ATTRACTION not APPLICATION
