LightLink is launching its first-ever gasless hackathon in the APAC region! Since September 2023, we have attracted 60,000 users conducting 100,000 daily transactions and are ready to grow even more.

We believe that gaming is one of the most promising use cases for the Web3 ecosystem, which is why we decided to center our first hackathon around GameFi. We aim to appeal to the gamer audience by offering gasless fees and unique opportunities available only in an on-chain economy.

The registration for the LightLink APAC Hackathon opens on December 13th. The hackathon will start on December 18th and continue until January 5th. The LightLink team will host workshops and provide developers with support on its Discord.

Our Web3 development partner, Moonshot Commons, will be hosting a virtual hackathon and also helping us host a Hacker House in Chengdu during the event. This venue will accommodate up to 15 developers, making it exciting to see LightLink builders connect in real life for the first time!

Developers can either build a full project of their design utilizing Enterprise Mode or tackle one of two challenges: building a roulette dApp with PRNG and Enterprise Mode, or a poker dApp with a PRNG that sets the deck in order.

We offer three kinds of prizes:

1️⃣ Stablecoin rewards totaling $5,000 for the top five winners.
2️⃣ Over $100,000 in credits for the AWS, QuickNode, and Chainbase platforms.
3️⃣ Additional support from LightLink and partners for selected projects to implement their gasless use cases on our Mainnet.

#LightLink can surpass 5,000 TPS, outperforming Ethereum's theoretical 120 TPS. This has been confirmed first by tests, and now by our Mainnet performance.

How is it possible on EVM without risking breaking the chain? 🧵

The maximum TPS for EVM chains depends on the gas used per block. Ethereum's cap is at 30M gwei. With a minimum transaction gas of 21K gwei and a 12-second block time, the max TPS is roughly 120.
30M / 21K / 12 = 120

After our #TGE, we plan to increase the gas limit to 60M gwei. This will take #LightLink to a max of 5,714 TPS. We can also increase this limit in the future to maintain the lowest possible fees.
