Allowing yourself to be loved and truly known is a lot harder than it sounds. Giving yourself space for vulnerability with another person is so hard.

Grand gestures are great (depending on your love language), but having someone look at your "ugly" and hold you through it — someone who understands you without words, or learns your communication style and adjusts their own to better reach you — that's love. That's real love.

Intimacy comes in so many forms. It's in the tiniest details and gestures; you just have to look a little harder sometimes.
