View Hidden Passwords Behind Asterisks in Chrome and Firefox

Almost all browsers hide the password field with asterisks for security purposes. If your password wasn’t saved for some reason, and you have a complex passcode, it’s nice to be able to see what’s behind the curtain 👇.

In Google Chrome:

✅ Open a website where you have your password saved, right-click on the password field and go to Inspect Element.

✅ When the HTML Editor opens, look for input type = “password” field and change “password” to “text” and press Enter to save.

✅ An easy way to find that line of code is to hit Ctrl + F and type: password in the search field and arrow to it.

In Firefox:
✅ Right-click the password field and click Inspect Element.

✅ A gray bar will appear with the password field highlighted. Press Alt+M or click on the icon shown below to open the Markup Panel.

✅ It will show you the code for the password field. Just look at the highlighted line and change type=”password” to “text”.

✔️Check the battery’s usage and duration.

How To Hide Personal Photos and Videos

For Android:

To natively hide your photos on an Android device, open up your File Manager. Add a new folder, but start the name with a period. Example: .Secrets.

When you move your photos and videos into this folder, they won't appear in your gallery or albums. ❗️You can only access them through your file manager. 👌

For iPhone:

Just select the photo you want to conceal, and tap "Hide" at the bottom of the screen. This will move the image to your Hidden" folder, and it'll stay out of any Moments, Collections, or Albums.

These device-native hiding techniques aren't password protected or encrypted, though, so using them is more risky. If someone knows your phone passcode, they can still access it.
