Brevent

Brevent is a greenify alternative, to close apps running in background.

Brevent supports Android 5.0 to 8.1 DP1, requires "USB debugging" in "developer options".

You can use it in conjunction with "Privileged Api Booter" magisk module (in Magisk -> Downloads) so that it runs on startup easily without requiring to enable adb over network.

Brevent works in a smart way.
It adds new installed apps by default.
Tapping Back always means that you have finished your work and want to quit.
Tapping Home will start the launcher and kick this app into background.

Brevent recognizes whether you have opened or closed apps by this way, preventing apps which are in the Brevent list from running in long time when not used. Apps which are wakened maliciously will always be force-stopped.

When you tap Back to quit apps, the services of these apps will be stopped; tap Home and they will be kept in the background to complete their tasks; swipe apps away from recents screen (also known as the Overview screen, recent task list, or recent apps) and they will be force-stopped.

Apps in Brevent list can be set "allow sync" to receive notifications or do sync jobs. Brevent won't brevent "allow sync" apps with sticky notifications or foreground services, and Brevent won't force-stop (may app-standby) "allow sync" apps with notifications or running in background.
