• alternative transformer decoder • models to GPT 3.5 either because the training data of them are (mostly) not for chat system.

Sayboard: Offline FOSS Voice Keyboard Released

Sayboard is an offline FOSS voice keyboard that supports multiple languages. It's a continuation of a prototype developed ontop of the Vosk speech recognition toolkit.

It supports multiple languages and is incredibly easy to use. Although it lacks punctuation, it is accurate in its transcription.

Mark this as a huge win for the friendly software space.

I remember someone asking for a 'Shazam' like app, and now one's come out on Linux desktop.

Although it uses a third party API, I think we're a year away from seeing more open AI models that would could make an app like this self-hosted.

Mousai is a simple application that can identify songs similar to Shazam. Just click the listen button, and then wait a few seconds. It will magically return the title and artist of that song!

Note: This uses the API of audd.io, so it is necessary to log in to their site to get more trials.
