Spencer recognizes on a fundamental level that “White supremacy”, “White nationalism”, what have you, is not about “White people” so much as it is about “White”, “Western” civilization. That is, it’s not about the person but rather the idea. To “fight for Western civilization” is not to “defend the traditional family in rural Nebraska”, or whatever, but is to support the American-led, liberal democratic, rules-based world order that represents “Western civilization” in the modern world. This being a much more academic definition as opposed to the vague spiritually third world tribalism that is typically invoked today
