So Vueling lost gf's suitcase from Lisbon to Barcelona like 7 days ago, then we flew on to Austin so they sent the suitcase to Austin already 4 days ago

It's at Austin airport, Airtag sees it, we also in Austin, they say they will send it to the hotel already…

American problems require American solutions

@levelsio In America you can beat this by flying with a gun in your checked bag - you place your bag directly on the belt, pick it up at the airline office upon landing, and airlines…

More evidence that laptops in cafes lead to startups

“[neighborhoods] that received a Starbucks saw an increase in the number of startups of 5.0% to 11.8% (or 1.1 to 3.5 firms) per year, over the subsequent 7 years.” (though other cafes/third places likely…

I think he's right

All that the Airtag tells me is the suitcase is somewhere near me but they won't send it to me anyway (well they say they do but never do)

And you can't ENTER the private only cargo area of an airport to go pick your airport up either…

Anyone have intel on Weligama, Sri Lanka?

It's not on Nomad List but started to show up in trips as fast rising around 6 months ago

ChatGPT pushing me to 3.5 again

OpenAI must be running out of GPUs?

I annoyingly make everyone I meet open an IBKR account and buy Vanguard ETFs if I discover they're not investing their money

Then I show them a savings calculator with avg S&P500 interest and they're converted

Convince them to put a % of their monthly income…

My point is you should always diversify in any way possible:
- companies (not just invest in 1 company, buy ETFs)
- industries (not just tech, buy S&P500)
- countries (not just America, buy eg Asia ETFs)
- brokers (multiple brokers)
- banks (multiple banks)…

✨ I made a new site called

🧳 💨 http://LuggageLosers.com

It's a live ranking of airlines by how much luggage they are losing right now

So you can avoid flying with them (and hopefully they can improve)

Airlines losing most luggage rn:
🇮🇳 Air India
🇮🇪 Aer…

What's crazy here is, some of the worst airlines in losing luggage are all part of the same company:

🇮🇪 Aer Lingus
🇬🇧 British Airways
🇪🇸 Iberia
🇪🇸 Vueling

Are all owned by International Airlines Group

Which in turn is 25% owned by Qatar Airways

But...Qatar…

So Austin has absolutely giant flying ants with wings?!

🇩🇪 Lufthansa bought 🇨🇭Swiss Air in 2005

They've destroyed its famous "Swiss Quality" by intergrating it into their organization

Now Switzerland is #5 worst in losing your luggage
