🇲🇦 🇳🇱 🇸🇾 - Western Islamists feel betrayed by HTS for punishing the jihadists who burned the Christmas tree.

Case in point, Moroccan origin Islamist living in Utrecht, The Netherlands, "Rachid Abu Khuzaymah" feels that HTS has sold out true Islam and is glorifying "shirk" while humiliating the Muslims.

While Rachid sympathizes with both Al Qaeda and ISIS in opposition to HTS, many of these foreign Islamists also see Al Qaeda as an apostate organization and only support ISIS.

Unity by Islamist extremists over the Syrian revolution seems to be short lived.

🏴 - Once Al Sharaa's cult of personality withers and Turkey begins its anti SDF attacks, it'll be the perfect opportunity for ISIS terrorists to attempt a resurgence and seize territory, especially in the east which has switched hands multiple times, and perhaps even other parts of Syria. They must be watching this closely.

🇸🇾 - Al Sharaa's downfall will be him trying to "institutionalize" Islamism when Islamism itself is a bandwagon fallacy. It relies on hype and emotions, not institutions.

He rightfully understand realpolitik but cannot sufficiently balance his massive Islamist support base with his "state building progress" as the celebrations for the revolution dies down. They do not care about economics.

They want to see more battles open up and want to take the spoils of war. Iran and Hezbollah have stopped caring about them, Russia still has its bases, day 1 we saw fighters threatening Israel from the Umayyad Mosque and the Saudi family yet now Israel is occupying Quneitra and Saudi Arabia is establishing good relations. The celebrations helped hide this but the elephant in the room will have to be addressed sooner or later.

Nationalizing foreign fighters who hold ideologies similar to ISIS will not make them any more civilized. Even the Taliban does not do that. HTS will see them join ISIS then attempt on Damascus what Wagner tried to do with Moscow if he does not act soon enough. No barrel bombs and Russian/Iranian aid to stop them. Secularists still won't like him.

In short, ISIS or a secular force will defeat HTS unless he ends the jihadists.

🇸🇾 - Sharaa silent on nationwide Christian protests that have been going on for an entire day across his territory, many armed. Western-backed opposition activists are also entirely silent, still celebrating and dancing around HTS "legalizing" Christmas (it was already legal in the previous regime) among other hubble bubble.

Safe to say again, he will be obliterated by ISIS if it continues to go like this. He cannot keep dancing on snakes.
