Giant pandas and winter are a good match. As warriors from the Quaternary glaciation, they are fearless of the cold, and they do not hibernate in winter. Even when the temperature drops to below 0Β°C, they still move happily in the snow

This structure has been built by spiders for reproduction and it's called a Silkhenge.

It typically consists of a central "spire" constructed of spider silk, containing one to two eggs, surrounded by a sort of fence of silk in a circle.

Silkhenges were discovered in 2013 by Georgia Tech student Troy Alexander. He posted a picture on Reddit asking for help identifying it.

No information was forthcoming, as this turned out to be a completely unknown phenomenon. His discovery acquired the name "silkhenge" because of its similarity to Stonehenge.

At the end of that year, an eight-day expedition led by Phil Torres found dozens more examples of this phenomenon, generally on the trunks of bamboo and cecropia trees.

Interestingly, so far, the species of spiders building these structure are still unknown.

While koalas might look like small bears, they are actually marsupials.

They give birth to underdeveloped young that crawl into their mothers' pouches, where they stay for the first 6-7 months of their life.

A big misconception about blindness is that a blind person only sees pitch black.

In reality, blindness is a spectrum. This is a series of examples of how differently visually impaired people see.

Potato cods can grow to be over 2 meters long and weigh over 100 kg. But what really catches your eye is that enormous mouth.

Ever heard of a vacuum cleaner in the sea? Well, that’s the potato cod’s mouth in action.
