Also, if you believe that russia has abandoned it's plans of genocide by cold, you are bitterly wrong. It seems to be this year's plan to gradually destroy Ukraine's energy supply turning Ukraine into WWII's Leningrad, forcing it to meet the next winter with no heating or electricity.

The fact that the lights go back on means that there is enough time to repair what is damaged and to protect what isn't yet.

To do that, Ukraine needs more air defence launchers and, more importantly, missiles, and repair equipment. Although with russia getting more and more deliberate with it's double tap tactics, the latter can't help without the former.

Obviously, the most effective way to destroy missiles and loitering munitions is before they took off the ground or water. This is where Ukraine had some success, but bombers and production lines can only be effectively hit with cruise and ballistic missiles such as ATACMS and Taurus, both Ukraine doesn't have enough of. Only a missile has the speed to hit an airbase before the bombers take off and the firepower to reliably destroy missile production equipment.

Until then, the best hope for Ukraine is to disrupt the fuel supply required to transport the missiles, their components and for the bombers to fly. Oil refineries are pretty much the only targets destruction of which will disrupt the russian bombing campaign and means to effectively target which Ukraine currently has.

If the bombing campaign is not stopped or made ineffective, Europe and the Americas should prepare for new refugee waves, which, if the winter is cold, will be larger and more desperate than those in the beginning of the invasion.

Please urge your politicians to give more air defence and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and if you want your country to save money, to provide more long-range weaponry. And, If you are afraid of escalation, remember that american UH-60 helicopters have already dropped paratroopers into Belgorod Oblast — russian territory since the early Soviet Union, and British-French cruise missiles have already struck russian warships and command points in Crimea, the territory russia considers it's core. If doing a clearly less aggressive thing than before is an escalation, everything is.

If you still are afraid to send weapons to Ukraine or are ideologically against providing arms to anyone, urge your politicians to prepare homes for new refugees, who will be coming whether you want it or not, if Ukraine's power grid isn't saved.
