Recently, in an incredible breakthrough a ceasefire between Isreal and Palestinian Resistance has been established. And with hostages being released on both sides, amounting to thousands freed. The massacres and violence cannot be undone, and this is not by any means, Liberation of the Palestinian peoples. For now, however, there is peace in Gaza and the West Bank.

Many share criticism towards US President Biden's lack of action towards a ceasefire until his last week of presidency. Highlighting that Biden shows himself as the genocidal maniac he is by withholding his influence and power that could have stopped or even showed steps to stop the bloodshed months ago. But only now in his last 4 days in office to create a peace.

Trans activists in Mexico have smashed the doors of the High Court to demand justice for Samantha Gómez Fonseca, a trans woman who was shot dead last year. Gómez was a Senate candidate for the ruling MORENA party. The culprit was arrested, but there have still not been any convictions.

Protesters fear that there could be impunity in this case, as there is for most cases of femicide and transfemicide in the country. Though Mexico City now has a law recognizing transfemicide as a separate crime, with 70 years of prison, corruption within the judicial system means it’s rarely applied. The transfemicide law was drawn up by the administration of Claudia Sheinbaum, current President of the country, when she was Head of the Mexico City Government.
