The President of Columbia, Shafik, manipulates global perception. Initially seeking assistance from @NYPDPC, she subsequently shifts blame onto the NYPD for protest shutdowns. All the while, she permits protests to continue unabated for weeks, with the power to halt them at any time. It's all smoke and mirrors now.
Anti-Israel campus protest backers raked in $2.7M in lefty NYC Council pork fundsMost of the pork — $60,000 — was dished out by Comptroller Brad Lander from 2016 to 2019, when the Democratic socialist was still a Brooklyn councilman.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations’ local chapter feasted on $108,511, the vast majority distributed through a first-of-its-kind initiative called “Communities of Color Nonprofit Stabilization Fund” that NYC Council members created to help Black, Latino and Asian-led nonprofits.

The Muslim civil rights group has outspokenly called for all criminal charges against the Columbia and CCNY protesters to be dropped and condemned the NYPD for shutting down the anti-Israel rallies.

Anarchist who were involved at the college campuses protests in NYC

A few examples of notable arrests so far — some non students who’ve been linked to outside influencers. According to a source:

James W. Carlson aka Cody Carlson aka Cody Tarlow, Burg 3 Illegal Entry with Intent (1130 Amsterdam Ave)
Carlson is a long-time figure in the anarchist world. He has multiple aliases. According to California arrest records, Tarlow was arrested during the violent G8 2005 protests in San Francisco “West Coast Anti-Capitalist Mobilization and March Against the G8” for attacking an UMOS and was charged with suspicion of attempted lynching, malicious mischief, battery to a police officer, aggravated assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon and willful resistance to a police officer that results in serious bodily injury. Carlson aka Tarlow is of interest for hate crime/arson involving burning a counter-protestors Israeli flag. He was previously involved in recent bridge and tunnel blocking.

Amelia Fuller, Burg 3 Illegal Entry with Intent (160 Convent Ave)
Fuller was arrested on 8 January, 2024 after participating in a sleeping dragon protest tactic blocking Williamsburg Bridge. The NY Botanical Garden fired FULLER from her position after appearing on a video in which she stated she felt “proud” following the 10/7 attacks against Israel.

Jacob Issac Gabriel, Burg 3 Illegal Entry with Intent (160 Convent Ave)
GABRIEL has numerous protest-related arrests, including for fighting, appears in Black Bloc gear, and was part of the 2023 Thanksgiving Day Parade disruption. GABRIEL’s criminal history within the NYR AOR includes resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, refusal to move, offenses against public administrators, fighting, and trespassing, from 11/23/2023 to present.

Rudy Ralph Martinez, Burg 3 Illegal Entry with Intent (160 Convent Ave)
MARTINEZ has an extensive history of protest-related arrests dating back to California in 2012. Within the NYC AOR, his arrest history includes OGA, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstruction, and refusal to disperse.

Jesse Pape, resisting arrest/assault at 140 St and Convent
PAPE has 4 protest-related arrests since February, including top charge ASSAULT W/ INTENT TO CAUSE PH INJ W/ WEAPON, in which he struck a SRG officer in the head with a 5 gallon water jug while she was attempting to deploy a lawful arrest for disorderly conduct. This specific activity is aligned with a recent online meme trend called “bonking”, in which officers are threatened with being hit with water cooler jugs.

Aidan Parisi, Burg 3 Illegal Entry with Intent (1130 Amsterdam Ave)
According to press reporting, Parisi was suspended by Columbia in early April 2024 for participation in a “Resistance 101” seminar by Khaled Barakat, a senior member of Popular Front for the liberation of Palestine (PFLP), his wife Charlotte KATES, a coordinator for Samidoun, and Nerden KISWANI, co-founder of Within Our Lifetime.

Nora Fayad, Burg 3 Illegal Entry with Intent (160 Convent Ave)
Fayad received media attention for a viral video in which she said "we are Hamas" and "Yes, We are all Hamas".

I visited James Carlson's home, one of the anarchists arrested at Columbia College in NYC, hoping for an interview but didn't succeed.

Despite hearing some movement, no one answered the door. I'll attempt again another time; it's crucial to hear his perspective.

If James's friends are aware, please ask him to email me. Thank you.

James Carlson, allegedly among the anarchists apprehended at Columbia College, allegedly carried charges stemming from the 2005 San Fran G8 Protests. These allegedly included suspicion of attempted lynching, battery to a police officer, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. These charges allegedly hint at his purported involvement in violent altercations during protests, particularly targeting law enforcement.
Aidan Parisi, formerly associated with Columbia University, faces controversy after his arrest at a campus protest. Not a current student, he was charged with burglary allegedly tied to the CUAD encampment. Allegations suggest he boasted about ties to Hamas, raising concerns about extremist affiliations. Despite no longer being enrolled, Parisi's presence reignites debates on campus safety and extremist influences. Calls for clarity and accountability from the university persist as the situation unfolds.
Amelia Fuller: Arrested Amidst NYPD Action at Columbia College

Amelia Fuller's alleged recent arrest at Columbia College amidst NYPD action has brought her into the spotlight once again. Allegedly charged with Burglary 3 for illegal entry with intent at 160 Convent Ave, her presence during the rain of police action has raised questions about her activism and its boundaries.

Fuller's alleged involvement in various protests, coupled with her vocal support for contentious causes like the 10/7 attacks against Israel, has already stirred controversy. Now, her alleged arrest adds another layer to her complex profile.

It's worth noting that Fuller is allegedly not a student at Columbia College. As the legal process unfolds and details emerge, the public awaits further insight into Fuller's alleged activism and the circumstances surrounding her alleged arrest during the NYPD action at Columbia College
