Met residents and caught up with my volunteers at the MPS in Teck Ghee last night. Some residents are dealing with difficult situations, but I was heartened by their quiet determination to find solutions. We will make every effort to support those in need, and make sure no one struggles alone, or gets left behind.

Very saddened by the passing of former Malaysian PM Tun Abdullah Badawi. We did much together to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Singapore and Malaysia. Today, I introduced the PAP slate of candidates in Ang Mo Kio GRC, as well as the wider AMK family. Darryl David, Nadia Samdin and I will stand in AMK GRC again, and joining us are Jasmin Lau and Victor Lye.

Henry Kwek and Yip Hon Weng will seek re-election in Kebun Baru SMC and Yio Chu Kang SMC respectively, while Ng Chee Meng will stand in the newly-formed Jalan Kayu SMC.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank Gan Thiam Poh and Ng Ling Ling, who will be retiring as MPs. They have put heart and soul into serving residents, and helped to build a better AMK.
