Today we celebrate Racial Harmony Day. While we dedicate one day each year to racial and religious harmony in our diverse society, the effort to maintain this state of affairs is constant and never-ending.

This evening, our Muslim friends welcomed the start of the new Islamic year, 1444 Hijrah. Wishing all our Muslim friends a blessed New Year! Selamat menyambut tahun baru Hijrah kepada semua umat Islam!

Happy 57th birthday, Singapore! Glad that we could celebrate with a full-scale event for the first time since the start of the pandemic. As the Parade reminded us, we are stronger when everyone comes together. 🇸🇬

Gembira kerana selepas 2.5 tahun, usaha kita memerangi COVID-19 mencapai kemajuan yang baik. Semua ini dapat diraih hasil usaha bersama rakyat Singapura, termasuk anggota masyarakat Melayu/Islam yang memainkan peranan penting dalam perjuangan ini.

Sejak ditubuhkan 40 tahun yang lalu, MENDAKI telah membantu masyarakat Melayu/Islam memberi penekanan kepada pendidikan sebagai kunci kemajuan sosio-ekonomi. Berkat kesungguhan ini, usaha-usaha MENDAKI telah berjaya membuahkan hasil yang ketara.

Tahun depan, Kumpulan Pemulihan Keagamaan (RRG) berusia 20 tahun. PM Lee merakamkan penghargaan kepada barisan asatizah atas sumbangan mereka kepada RRG. Khususnya, kepada pengerusi bersama RRG, Ustaz Hasbi Hassan dan Ustaz Ali Mohamed.

Ustaz Ali akan bersara daripada jawatan pengerusi bersama RRG, pada akhir bulan ini. Gembira beliau akan terus menyumbang pengalaman dan pengetahuannya sebagai Presiden Emeritus RRG. Terima kasih Ustaz Ali atas sumbangan anda kepada masyarakat Melayu/Islam dan kepada Singapura!
