This is a harrowing case of repeated sexual abuse involving a 13-year-old girl who, after a year of abuse, managed to catch her 44-year-old stepfather—of South American origin—in the act by recording the assaults.

According to the victim’s account, the first rape occurred last July, when her mother’s partner took advantage of the minor while she was asleep and, after pinning her down on the bed, forced her to submit to sexual acts through violence and threats.

The abuse had continued until May 5, when the couple was involved in a violent domestic dispute that prompted the Carabinieri to respond. While filing a complaint against her partner, the woman told the officers that she had learned just a few days earlier that the man had repeatedly abused their daughter.
