🤖📱 Instagram Tests Deeper Control Over Recommendations!

Instagram is experimenting with new ways to make Your Algorithm more central to the user experience.
The feature is designed to let users fine-tune the topics they want to see more or less across Instagram.

Adam Mosseri shared examples of how this could work. Users might pull down in their feed to open an algorithm menu.

They might also swipe up from a Reel to see a customization prompt and adjust their recommendations.

Another possible test adds buttons under each Reel, helping users quickly guide the app toward the content they prefer.

Still, Instagram is being careful. Mosseri said some of these changes are only tests, and not every idea may become an official feature.
Interestingly, many users in the comments asked for a simpler change: they want Instagram to show more posts from people they follow.
