Abu ʿAbdillah Muhammad ibn Idris ash-Shafi’ee 204 AH (May Allah have mercy on him) said,

Be patient over the teacher’s strictness and harshness
For the stores of knowledge are present in his harshness

Whoever does not taste the humility of learning, even for an hour
Will drink the humility of ignorance for the rest of his life

For him who misses out on learning in his youth,
Then announce four takbirs over him for his death is due

By Allah, the life of a youth is by knowledge and piety
If they are not present, then there's no consideration of himself
An interesting Benefit related to Lesson 25 in Madinah Book 2:

Questioner: What's better our sheikh when reading the numbers; to start with the right or to start with the left? This is a side question...

Sheikh Albani: Yes, of course, we start in accordance with the Sunnah.

Questioner: From the right?

Sheikh Albani: Indeed! As for starting with the left...

Questioner (interjects): 111 (reads from right to left)

Sheikh Albani: As for starting with the left, this is the way of the disbelievers.

How to read numbers

Sheikh Uthaymeen rahimahullah says: “Page ١١٦ (reads from left to right) is this correct?
....
No it's not correct O people! The correct way (is to say) ١١٦ (reads from right to left). This is the correct way! But the surprising thing is that it has become common upon the tongues of the scholars and students of knowledge, let alone the laymen, that they begin from the left (when reading numbers), whereas the Arabic script starts from the right. So I don't know when this came about. But if you look at the books of the earlier generations, when they record the completion dates in books, they write, 'the completion date was on...', (mentioning the year) from right to left. Whatever the case, this is a minor mistake, but I wanted to clarify the origin. The origin is that we begin from the right, so we say page ١١٦ (reads from right to left).
Reading numbers in Arabic |
THE CORRECT OPINION

As a matter of benefit, it passed with us while studying with our Sheikh 'Abdur-Raqeeb Al-Kawkabani, may Allah have mercy on him, that numbers may be read from the right or the left, as both methods are authentically proven.

As for reading it from the right, this is supported by the hadith of Ibn 'Umar radhiyallahu 'anhu concerning the three men who were trapped in the cave; it came in the hadith that one of them said:

“So I gave her one hundred and twenty Dinars.”
[Reported by Bukhari & Muslim]

As for reading it from the left, this is proven by the hadith of Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri radhiyallahu 'anhu concerning Allah's command to Adam, peace be upon him, to bring forth the people of the Fire, and it comes in the hadith:

“Out of every thousand (take out) nine hundred and ninety-nine (persons).”
[Reported by Bukhari & Muslim]

Alhamdulillah this was the opinion that was mentioned during the Madinah Book 2 class (Lesson 24)
Nine of the most common (ما)s in the Arabic language, six of which are mentioned in Madinah book 2.
