Verb to Be
من أشهر أفعال اللغة الإنجليزية الفعل Be الذي ينقسم في زمن المضارع البسيط إلى ثلاثة أفعال فرعية هي am - is - are وفي زمن الماضي البسيط فينقسم إلى فعلين فرعيين هما was - were (أنظر الصورة)

يأتي بعد الفعل be صفة أو اسم أو حال متبوع بصفة أو فعل منتهي ب "ing"
