📝 Mini-Lesson: The Two Faces of "YET"

Did you know "yet" has two completely different jobs in English? Let's break it down! 👇

1️⃣ "Yet" as a Conjunction
It connects two ideas and means "but" or "however" (ግን / ሆኖም). It shows a surprising contrast.

👉 Example: It was raining heavily, yet we went for a walk.
(ከባድ ዝናብ እየዘነበ ነበር ሆኖም (ግን) ለእግር ጉዞ ወጣን።)

2️⃣ "Yet" as an Adverb

It usually comes at the end of a sentence and means "until now" (ገና / እስካሁን). We use it mostly in negatives and questions.

👉 Example: I haven't finished my coffee yet.
