statement.

🌿 1. How to Agree
When you agree with someone’s idea or opinion, you can use different expressions depending on how strong your agreement is.

✅ Strong Agreement
I completely agree with you.
That’s absolutely right.
I couldn’t agree more.
You’re totally right.
Exactly! / That’s true!

🤝 Partial Agreement
I agree with you to some extent.
That’s true, but…
I see your point, however…
You may be right, but I also think…

🔥 2. How to Disagree
When you disagree, it’s polite to do so respectfully.

❌ Polite Disagreement
I’m not sure I agree with you.
I see your point, but I think…
That’s a good point, but I disagree.
I don’t think that’s always true.
I’m afraid I have to disagree.

💬 Strong Disagreement
I completely disagree.
That’s not how I see it.
I totally disagree with that idea.

Giving Directions

Giving directions means explaining clearly how someone can
get from one place to another. you should be able to give detailed, accurate,
and polite directions using landmarks, distances, and sequencing expressions.

   Useful Expressions   

Starting
Directions

First, go straight ahead.
Start by walking down this street.
Head towards the city center.
Follow this road for about 500 meters.

           2. Turning
Turn left at the traffic lights.
Turn right at the next junction.
Take the second left.
Make a right turn after the bridge.

         3. Using Landmarks
You'll see a bank on your left.
Go past the supermarket.
The museum is opposite the park.
The hotel is next to the post office.

            4. Distance and Time
It's about a five-minute walk.
It's roughly one kilometer from here.
Continue for two blocks.
It's just around the corner.

             5. Ending Directions
You can't miss it.
That's your destination.
It will be on your right.
You'll find it at the end of the street.

A: Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to the library?
B: Certainly. Go straight ahead for about 300 meters. Turn
left at the traffic lights and walk past the hospital. The library is opposite
the park, next to the bank. You can't miss it.

📖 Reading Passage:

The Power of Determination

Many years ago, a young boy lived in a small village where opportunities were limited. His family was poor, and most people believed that education was unnecessary for someone of his background. However, the boy strongly believed that learning could change his life.

Every morning, he woke up early to help his family with chores. After that, he walked several kilometers to a small school. The classroom had few books and no electricity, but the boy listened carefully to every lesson. When he did not understand something, he asked questions and practiced until he improved.

As the years passed, his determination began to show results. He became one of the best students in the school. Eventually, he earned a scholarship to study in the city. Though the journey was difficult, he never forgot his village or the struggles that shaped him. His story became an inspiration to others who believed success was impossible.

What is a Verb?
A verb shows:

2. Main Types of Verbs
a) Action vs State Verbs
Action verbs can be used in continuous forms.
She is reading a novel.
State verbs usually are not used in continuous forms.(know, believe, own, prefer)
❌ I am knowing the answer.
✔️ I know the answer.
⚠️ Some verbs change meaning:
I think you are right. (opinion – state)
I’m thinking about my future. (activity – action)

3. Verb Patterns
a) Verb + Infinitive
agree, decide, refuse, manage
They decided to leave early.
b) Verb + Gerund (-ing)
enjoy, avoid, suggest, consider
She avoids eating junk food.
c) Verb + Object + Infinitive
want, expect, allow, advise
The teacher advised us to study harder.

⚠️ Some verbs change meaning:
stop to do vs stop doing
He stopped to rest. (purpose)
He stopped smoking. (ended activity)
