🌙 Every year a file/message spreads containing what is called: “Ideas of deeds for the last ten nights.”

Although the deeds mentioned in it are righteous actions and the ahadeeth related to them are authentic and acceptable, this file contains a number of concerns:

🔹 1️⃣ Restricting specific acts of worship to a specific time

Limiting certain acts to the last ten nights specifically is a form of assigning particular acts of worship to a specific time without evidence from the Shariah. This opens the door to innovation (bid‘ah).

Imam Al-Shatibi رحمه الله said in Al-I‘tisam while discussing types of innovations:

“Among them is committing to specific acts of worship at specific times when such specification does not exist in the Shariah.”

Some may say: People do not intend this restriction.

However, collecting them in one file and calling them “acts or ideas for the last ten nights” itself indicates specification, even if that was not the intention.

🔹 2️⃣ Over time people may believe these deeds are Sunnah

With time, if no one clarifies the matter, common people may begin to believe these actions have a special virtue in these nights and may even think they are Sunnah, while becoming less interested in other acts of worship.

🔹 3️⃣ Mentioning exact numbers of rewards

In the file, specific numbers of rewards (hasanat) are mentioned, which restricts the vast bounty of Allah. Allah multiplies rewards for whom He wills, so a person should not count his rewards before Allah.

There may also be a form of boasting of one's deeds before Allah.

It is reported in Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah (2/162):

Abdullah – meaning Ibn Mas‘ud رضي الله عنه – disliked counting deeds and said:
“Does he boast before Allah (or doing favour upon Allaah) about his good deeds?”

📌 In *summary*

A Muslim should increase in all kinds of worship during these blessed days and nights, such as:

✨ Prayer
📖 Recitation of the Qur’an
🧎‍♂️ Dhikr (remembrance of Allah)
🤲 Supplication
💰 Charity
🌿 And other acts of obedience

There is no harm in reminding people about virtuous deeds and their rewards, without restricting or specifying them to certain numbers or forms (or specific rewards if they are NOT established from authentic sunnah)

🌙 ہر سال ایک پیغام نشر کیا جاتا ہے جس میں “عشرۂ آخِر کے اعمال یا آئیڈیاز” کے نام سے چیزیں بیان کی جاتی ہیں۔

اگرچہ اس میں ذکر کیے گئے اعمال نیک اعمال ہیں اور ان کے متعلق احادیث بھی ثابت اور قابلِ قبول ہیں، لیکن اس پیغام میں چند قابلِ توجہ امور (محاذیر) موجود ہیں:

🔹 1️⃣ مخصوص وقت کے ساتھ مخصوص عبادات کو خاص کرنا

کچھ عبادات کو خاص طور پر آخری دس راتوں کے ساتھ مخصوص کرنا، جبکہ شریعت میں اس طرح کی تخصیص ثابت نہ ہو، بدعت کے دروازے کھول سکتا ہے۔

امام شاطبی رحمہ اللہ نے اپنی کتاب الاعتصام میں بدعت کی اقسام بیان کرتے ہوئے فرمایا:

“ان میں سے ایک یہ ہے کہ کسی مخصوص عبادت کو کسی مخصوص وقت کے ساتھ لازم کر لیا جائے، حالانکہ شریعت میں اس وقت کے ساتھ اس کی تخصیص موجود نہ ہو۔”

اگر کہا جائے کہ لوگ اس تخصیص کا ارادہ نہیں رکھتے، تو جواب یہ ہے کہ ان اعمال کو ایک ہی رسالے میں جمع کرکے “عشرۂ آخِر کے اعمال یا آئیڈیاز” کہنا خود ہی اس تخصیص کی طرف اشارہ کرتا ہے، چاہے نیت نہ بھی ہو۔

🔹 2️⃣ وقت کے ساتھ لوگ اسے سنت سمجھنے لگ سکتے ہیں

اگر اس پر نکیر نہ کی جائے تو وقت گزرنے کے ساتھ عام لوگ یہ سمجھنے لگتے ہیں کہ یہ اعمال خاص طور پر انہی راتوں کے لئے سنت ہیں، اور اس کے علاوہ دیگر عبادات میں رغبت کم ہو سکتی ہے۔

🔹 3️⃣ نیکیوں کی مخصوص تعداد بیان کرنا

اس رسالے میں حسنات کی مخصوص تعداد اعداد کے ساتھ بیان کی جاتی ہے، جو اللہ تعالیٰ کے فضل کو محدود کرنے کے مترادف ہے۔

اللہ تعالیٰ جس کے لیے چاہے بغیر حساب کے اجر بڑھا دیتا ہے، اس لئے بندے کو اپنی نیکیوں کو اعداد میں شمار کر کے اللہ کے سامنے پیش نہیں کرنا چاہیے۔

اس میں اپنی نیکیوں پر فخر یا احسان جتانے کا پہلو بھی پیدا ہو سکتا ہے۔

مصنف ابن ابی شیبہ (2/162) میں روایت ہے:

عبد اللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نیکیوں کو گننے کو ناپسند کرتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے:
“کیا وہ اپنی نیکیوں کا اللہ پر احسان جتاتا ہے؟”

📌 خلاصہ

مسلمان کو چاہیے کہ ان بابرکت دنوں اور راتوں میں ہر قسم کی عبادت کثرت سے کرے، جیسے:

📖 قرآن کی تلاوت
🧎‍♂️ ذکر
🤲 دعا
💰 صدقہ
🌿 اور دیگر نیک اعمال

لوگوں کو نیک اعمال اور ان کے فضائل کی یاد دہانی کرانا درست ہے، بشرطیکہ انہیں کسی خاص شکل، تعداد یا مخصوص طریقے سے محدود نہ کیا جائے۔

Summary of Rulings on Zakat al-Fitr

🔹 Zakat al-Fitr is obligatory upon every Muslim who possesses enough provision for themselves and for those whose maintenance they are responsible for, for the day and night of Eid, in addition to their basic needs.

🔹 A Muslim must give Zakat al-Fitr on behalf of themselves. As for their dependents, they are of two types:

1. Those whose maintenance is obligatory upon him
Such as his wife, young children, and poor relatives who have no wealth.
→ He must give on their behalf as well, and their permission is not required.

2. Those whose maintenance is not obligatory upon him
Such as adult children who possess sufficient wealth, and others.
→ He is not required to give on their behalf, as they are responsible for giving their own Zakat.

It is permissible to give on their behalf (e.g., a wife giving for her children or a son giving for his wealthy father), but with their permission. If it is given without their permission, it is not valid.

🔹 A servant/employee who receives a monthly or annual salary (or otherwise) is not the responsibility of the employer in terms of Zakat al-Fitr—even if the employer provides food, drink, and accommodation—unless the employer chooses to give on their behalf with their permission.

🔹 Zakat al-Fitr is given to those eligible for Zakat al-Maal, namely the poor and the needy. It may be given to one or more people.
It is also permissible to give it to servants if they are poor Muslims.

🔹 There are two ways to discharge Zakat al-Fitr:

1. Directly
The Muslim gives it themselves, which is better as it manifests the symbols of the religion.
It should be given as food, not cash, on the day of Eid, the night before, or at most one or two days before.

2. Through a representative (agent)
Such as a trustworthy charity or individual.
The person may give them money (even in advance) and authorize them to distribute it at the correct time.
The agent must then give it at the legislated time.

It is not required that the agent be officially authorized by the state.
Any trustworthy Muslim—individual or organization—may be appointed, and this is valid.

🔹 Zakat al-Fitr should be distributed in the same country where the person fasted.
Transferring it to another country is permissible only if there is a need (e.g., no eligible poor people locally).
If eligible recipients exist locally, then transferring it elsewhere is not permissible.

زکاۃ الفطر کے مسائل کا مختصر خلاصہ

🔹 زکاۃ الفطر ہر اس مسلمان پر واجب ہے جو عید کے دن اور رات کے لیے اپنی اور اپنے زیرِ کفالت افراد کی ضروریات سے زائد خوراک رکھتا ہو۔

🔹 مسلمان پر اپنی زکاۃ الفطر ادا کرنا واجب ہے۔ جہاں تک زیرِ کفالت افراد کا تعلق ہے، وہ دو قسم کے ہوتے ہیں:

1. وہ جن کا خرچ اس پر واجب ہے
جیسے بیوی، چھوٹے بچے، اور وہ غریب رشتہ دار جن کے پاس مال نہ ہو۔
→ ان کی طرف سے بھی زکاۃ الفطر ادا کرنا واجب ہے، اور ان سے اجازت لینا ضروری نہیں۔

2. وہ جن کا خرچ اس پر واجب نہیں
جیسے بالغ اولاد جو خود مالدار ہو، اور دیگر افراد۔
→ ان کی طرف سے زکاۃ الفطر ادا کرنا واجب نہیں، کیونکہ وہ خود اپنی زکاۃ ادا کرنے کے مکلف ہیں۔

ان کی طرف سے زکاۃ الفطر ادا کرنا جائز ہے (مثلاً بیوی اپنے بچوں کی طرف سے دے یا بیٹا اپنے مالدار والد کی طرف سے دے)، لیکن ان کی اجازت شرط ہے۔ اگر بغیر اجازت ادا کی جائے تو وہ معتبر نہیں ہوگی۔

🔹 وہ خادم یا ملازم جسے ماہانہ یا سالانہ تنخواہ ملتی ہو، اس کی زکاۃ الفطر (مالک) پر لازم نہیں—خواہ وہ اس کے کھانے، پینے اور رہائش کا انتظام ہی کیوں نہ کرتا ہو—البتہ اگر وہ اجازت لے کر اس کی طرف سے ادا کرنا چاہے تو اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں۔

🔹 زکاۃ الفطر ان لوگوں کو دی جاتی ہے جو زکاۃ کے مستحق ہیں یعنی فقیر اور مسکین۔
یہ ایک یا ایک سے زیادہ افراد کو دی جا سکتی ہے۔
اگر خادم مسلمان اور غریب ہو تو اسے بھی زکاۃ دی جا سکتی ہے۔

🔹 زکاۃ الفطر ادا کرنے کے دو طریقے ہیں:

1. خود ادا کرنا
یہ افضل ہے کیونکہ اس سے شعائرِ دین کا اظہار ہوتا ہے۔
یہ نقد نہیں بلکہ کھانے کی شکل میں دی جائے گی، عید کا چاند دیکھنے سے لے کر عید کی نماز ادا کرنے سے پہلے تک یا زیادہ سے زیادہ ایک یا دو دن پہلے۔

2. کسی معتبر شخص یا ادارے کو وکیل بنانا
جیسے کسی قابلِ اعتماد فرد یا مستند فلاحی ادارے کو۔
اسے رقم دی جا سکتی ہے (چاہے پہلے ہی دے دی جائے) اور وہ مقررہ وقت پر زکاۃ الفطر ادا کرے گا۔

جس کو آپ وکیل بنائیں، اس کا سرکاری طور پر مجاز ہونا ضروری نہیں۔
کوئی بھی قابلِ اعتماد مسلمان، چاہے فرد ہو یا ادارہ، اس کام کے لیے مقرر کیا جا سکتا ہے۔

🔹 زکاۃ الفطر اسی شہر یا ملک میں ادا کی جائے گی جہاں انسان نے روزے رکھے ہوں۔
اگر وہاں مستحق لوگ نہ ہوں تو دوسرے ملک منتقل کرنا جائز ہے۔
لیکن اگر مستحق موجود ہوں تو بغیر ضرورت دوسرے ملک منتقل کرنا جائز نہیں۔

🔹 یتیم کی کفالت کرنے والے کے بارے میں اختلاف ہے:

جمہور علماء کے نزدیک اس پر یتیم کی طرف سے زکاۃ الفطر واجب نہیں۔
