An Options Contract gives the holder the right to buy or sell an underlying asset at a specified expiry date. The holder has the right but not an obligation to exercise the contract.
Hence, if the holder does not exercise their right till maturity, the contract will lapse on its own, and no settlement will be required.
The three main components of an Options Contract are:
β Strike Price - The stated price of the Underlying Security.
β Premium - A token amount to be paid per contract.
π Expiry Date - The day the Option Contract must be used.
Along with that, you should know about the Contract Size, Settlement Style, and Exercise Style.
Can you tell us what are the two types of Options Contracts? π¬

"The whole trick on investing is: 'How do I keep myself from losing?'β
β Paul Tudor Jones
Out of all the trades you make, what is really important is you donβt blow out all your money.
You can follow a 1:3 Risk-Reward Ratio.
Put simply, for every Rs.1 you lose, you should be making Rs.3.
This ensures that your losses are minimized while also not making you completely loss averse.
What is your ideal risk-reward ratio?

The new SEBI regulation will affect those who trade with a high frequency(in milliseconds). It is unlikely this will have a negative effect on most retail traders.
Curbing spoofing and Quote Stuffing will help reduce wrong illusion of bid and ask prices in the market depth and make sure that the market prices change based on collective supply and demand of all market participants.
As a result, retail traders to better analyze the market depth based on reality and not an illusion that is created by spoofing and Quote Stuffing.
What are your thoughts on this rule? π¬
