The Dojima Rice Exchange was established in 1697 during the Edo period in Osaka, Japan.
πŸ“Œ It was the first futures market for commodities in Asia.

Notable events took place from its establishment in 1697 until 1939, when it was formally dissolved. Its function was then overtaken by the Government Rice Agency.

Yet, many trading rules & practices of Dojima are still used in commodity, equity, and financial futures exchanges.

Fascinating, isn't it?

Whenever you are analyzing a company either to invest in or lend money to the company, then you need to look at the financial ratios.

Financial Ratios are two numerical values taken from a company's financial statement, that helps you analyze its efficiency and profitability.

Ways you can use Financial Ratios to analyze a company:
☝️Examine the ratio over a period of time and see if the company has become better or fared poorly.
✌️Compare two companies.
πŸ‘ŒYou can also use the ratios to compare two industries (for understanding purposes).

Ideally, you can use financial ratios to check a company’s history or compare it with its peers so that you make sound investment decisions.

An Options Contract gives the holder the right to buy or sell an underlying asset at a specified expiry date. The holder has the right but not an obligation to exercise the contract.
Hence, if the holder does not exercise their right till maturity, the contract will lapse on its own, and no settlement will be required.

The three main components of an Options Contract are:
☝ Strike Price - The stated price of the Underlying Security.
✌ Premium - A token amount to be paid per contract.
πŸ‘Œ Expiry Date - The day the Option Contract must be used.
Along with that, you should know about the Contract Size, Settlement Style, and Exercise Style.

Can you tell us what are the two types of Options Contracts? πŸ’¬
And once you start, be patient, keep learning, and keep going.

A trading system helps you trade consistently;
A proper risk management strategy helps you minimize your losses;
An understanding of trading psychology helps you counter your bias & emotions and trade using the rules of your system.
