The company's CEO said AI has reinvented computing in every way, comparing it to a resurgence in the computer industry that will create "golden opportunities" for companies in Taiwan. π ChatGPT error cost lawyer's career
In a lawsuit against Avianca, plaintiff lawyer Stephen A. Schwartz cited a 15-page document with experts opinion and similar court cases as evidence. Opposing counsel pointed out that "six of the cases presented are fictitious court decisions with fictitious citations and fictitious internal references."
As it turned out, Stephen A. Schwartz used ChatGPT to compile the documents, and the chat bot simply made up realistic but non-existent data. The lawyer noted that he was "unaware of the possibility that the chatbot could generate false content." Steven A. Schwartz is no longer admitted to practice law.
